Abstract:
The Australian Association for the Study of Religions celebrates this year the thirtieth anniversary of its founding. This paper divides this history into three eras: Genesis between 1975 and 1984; Flowering between 1985 and 1994; and Challenging Times between 1995 and the present. The focus of the paper is the first and second decades of the Association.
