Abstract:

To modify a popular adage, familiarity breeds confidence. Almost all schools now have some computers; computers are helping to teach science, math, and other subjects; programs* are fast becoming available for foreign
language instruction; young people are enthusiastic about operating computers; therefore, language teachers need to learn how to make use of these machines in order to profit from the built-in-motivation they afford.
