Abstract:

Language impairment (LI) affects children in numerous ways. As they mature, children with LI may demonstrate ongoing problems with communication and academics as well as challenges with social interaction, social acceptance, and friendship formation. The life experience of children with LI is likely to be characterized by persistent difficulty across a wide range of tasks as well as social isolation in a variety of contexts.
