The CALICO Journal, founded in 1983, will move to Equinox in 2015. CALICO is the official publication of the Computer Assisted Language Instruction Consortium (CALICO) and is devoted to the dissemination of information concerning the application of technology to language teaching and language learning. The journal is published online-only, is fully refereed and publishes research articles and studies and software and book reviews.Three issues appear annually and normally one of them is a thematic issue on current discourses and developments in Computer-Assisted Language Learning. CALICO'S international editorial board and large group of authors and reviewers reflect its global readership. The first issue in 2015, Issue 32.1, will contain an invited state-of-the-art review article on collaborative research on computer-mediated communication and articles on topics such as enhancing reading comprehension of hypertexts, analysis of social networks for language learning, giving and receiving advice in peer-to-peer computer-mediated interaction, and on learning French pronunciation on mobile devices. Issue 32.2 consolidates research findings in Applied Linguistics as it is dedicated to articles on replication studies in Computer-Assisted Language Learning. This issue’s invited article reviews Conversation Analysis research in computer-mediated communication. Volume 32 will be rounded off with a special issue on qualitative and mixed-methods approaches to research, guest-edited by Regine Hampel and Ursula Stickler (Open University, United Kingdom).
