DOI: 10.1558/equinox.28132

Blurb:

The contribution will analyze the theological-political ideas and endeavors of two personalities of influence, Nathan Söderblom and – especially – Louis Massignon, the effect of their respective engagements during the First world war, and their ‘ethical mysticism’, a term used to characterize also Dag Hammarskiöld. The contrast to this development beyond Comparative Religion is the contemporary more empirical-anthropological study of religion.
