Blurb:

Chapter Three, Pratipakṣa bhāvanā as Imagining the Opposite, discusses the potential of imagining the opposite as a powerful method to overcome the causes of affliction. The method is based on the valid translation of bhāvanā, meaning imagination and is inspired by Dickens' novella A Christmas Carol entailing the transformation of Scrooge, the novel's protagonist. The appendix includes an explicit practical exercise for Imagining the Opposite.
