Abstract:
This article describes a work in progress and reports on some initial findings. Hospital consultants have been interviewed about their religious faith and how this integrates with their medical practice. The author suggests parallels with healthcare chaplains as consultant’s report the way in which they attempt to serve in a secular environment whilst managing their personal faith. The integration of faith and practice and the complexities of this relationship are explored.
