Abstract:
This article considers how some of the special design features of the interactive videodisc technology permit the development of material ideally suited to improve the process of language learning. In particular, the technology can be used to provide the student with a very rich environment in which experiential learning can be promoted through structured and sequenced context-rich presentations. This technology can be a superb vehicle to address and implement the special dimensions of learning which current learning theories now emphasize.
