Abstract:
A painter reflects on several decades of his work, tracing its cross-currents from Eastern Europe to the Mojave Desert and finally to Mexicali. Stories range from a brightly lit Mojave Desert childhood to the desecretation of the author's hometown there. Final thoughts focus upon the crisis of Latino immigration into the U.S. across the same Mojave Desert.
