Abstract:
The present article supplies an annotated translation of the Madhyama Āgama version of the Dantabhūmi Sutta. The translation is followed by a discussion of some of the more significant differences to be found between the Chinese and the Pāli versions, which are of particular relevance for the role of satipaṭṭhāna in relation to jhāna.
