ID: 1535 - View Book Page - Edit In OJS
This account of the excavations on the south side of the Minster within the medieval collegiate precinct details the investigation of substantial parts of two successive pre-conquest monasteries and a later succession of part-timbered halls. For the pre-conquest period this site offers one of the largest collections of Anglo-Scandinavian finds yet published from the north of England (excluding York itself).
