What is Archaeology? Archaeology is the study of the human past, based primarily on the discovery, analysis, and interpretation of various kinds of physical evidence. Archaeology aims to broadly understand the evolution of the human species, and the development and changes in the culture, society, and daily life of ancient humans from all periods.
