DOI: 10.1558/equinox.36467

Insisting on the centrality of meaning to human life, Hasan explores research across such human sciences as ‘archaeological anthropology, neuroscience, psychology, sociology and last and most pertinent, one particular approach to the study of language, which treats linguistic meaning as the essence of humanity, viz., systemic functional linguistics.’
