Chapter: Bernard Lonergan’s Insight – A Methodological Examination

DOI: 10.1558/equinox.41583

Blurb:

This chapter critically reconstructs the argument advanced by Lonergan in Insight in which he seeks to examine the structure of knowing consisting in the three stages of experience, insight and judgment. His argument is compared with that advanced in Newman’s A Grammar of Assent and preliminary consideration is given to its implications for interfaith dialogue.
