Chapter 3 includes an analysis of DU Mu’s Qing Ming and its six English translations in terms of the logical metafunction. We point out the semantic relations between clauses and examine how such relations are realized by linguistic forms. Although different translators may apply different strategies in translation, the same semantic relationship between clauses tend to be selected.
