In Chapter 4, we analyze the original and the English translations of Qing Ming in light of the interpersonal metafunction. The chapter consists of three parts, including (i) an overview of the interpersonal metafunction, (ii) an interpersonal analysis of Qing Ming, and (iii) an interpersonal analysis of the English translations. It is found that our interpersonal analysis is not only capable of identifying the characters involved in the poem and to point out their relationships, but it also helps to determine the accuracy of the English translations.
